Formerly Managing Director and International Head of Securities Lending, Equity Swaps and Structured Products at Morgan Stanley, Tarek Toubale is a highly regarded expert in global finance.
Under his leadership, the equity financing services division at Morgan Stanley was one of the most profitable in the bank, made up of over two hundred professionals in various functions in sales, trading, and arbitrage, tax structuring and exotic derivatives in London, New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
Prior to Morgan Stanley, he was with Société Générale, initially as trader in the Derivatives Division, and then as the bank’s first Vice President in New York, and Head of Equity Finance and Risk Arbitrage.
He is also a former director of the Marshall Wace Asset Management and Jabre Capital funds
A passionate social activist and change-agent he serves as a consultant to HYSTRA, a non-profit consulting group that advises multinational companies on social entrepreneurship ventures, and worked for the Children Investment Fund Foundation in Uganda.
He also served as an economist for the French Ministry of Finance in La Réunion.
He graduated from the École Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Économique or ENSAE, a French Grandes Ecole of engineering and a member of ParisTech (Paris Institute of Technology).
